Poha - The Saviour

You doesn't know what Poha is..??? Then, probably you are a South Indian. While South Indians are wasting time in deciding what to prepare for the Breakfast, the North Indian live on Poha. It can cause nothing Good & Bad to your health, hence highly recommended for a quick and an easy Breakfast.
****** Serves 2 ******
Preparation Time : 15 mins
Ingredients :
- Poha (alais) Rice Flakes (alais) Flattened Rice : 200 gms
- Oil : 3 Tbsp
- Large Onions : 2 medium size
- Ground Nuts : 100 gms
- Turmeric Powder : 1/2 tsp
- Mustard Seed & Cumins : 1 tsp each
- Salt : as required
STEP - 1:
Take Poha in a large vessel and add water to it in a way in is soak completely. Not more than 45 Secs, drain the water and allow the Poha to rest.



STEP - 2 :
In a Pan, add 3 Tbsp Oil and add the Mustard Seed and Cumins once it is hot. Add the Ground Nut and set the flame in medium and wait until the nuts cracks down.

STEP - 3 :
Once, the nuts are cracked, add the chopped Onions and fry it to light brown. Once the Onion is fried to medium brown, add the Turmeric and Salt.


STEP - 4 :
Keep in low flame and add the Poha and mix the mixture well. Add salt if required. Mix well until the Turmeric sticks well to the Poha.
Poha is Ready.. Serve Hot :-)
